CUBA: EL INVIERNO LLEGA PRONTO/ DETENIDOS Y SIN PARADERO MIEMBROS DE OMNIZONAFRANCA Y ACTIVISTA DEL CCIR

Ser detenido en Cuba por la libertad de acción y de expresión, es un acto de Terror Estatal.

Cuando eres detenido quedas incomunicado, y no tienes derecho ninguno a ver un abogado ni a comunicarte con familiares o amigos. En Cuba la Sociedad Civil es representada por el gobierno que establece sus organizaciones no gubernamentales. Los que gobiernan se enseñorean sobre todo el país y sobre todos los derechos del país bajo un discurso humanitario que funciona para algunos y excluye a millones de cubanos. La verdadera Sociedad Civil se levanta desde hace varios años bajo acoso, vigilancia constante, y represión brutal siempre disimulada.

El gobierno cubano trabaja por detrás del telón para enamorar, manipular, chantajear, vender, comprar, voluntades en todo el mundo, incluso y a un nivel alto en Los Estados Unidos de América.

Todo para mantener a la mayoría de los cubanos viviendo en la división, en la esclavitud, en el sufrimiento de no pertenecer. La mayoría de los que viven adentro no tienen sentido de pertenencia. Todos se han dado cuenta del engaño colosal. Quienes apoyan y siguen gritando Revolución lo hacen porque son ciervos ciegos unos, y francos oportunistas vive bien y corruptos otros que no ven nunca ni quieren ver la destrucción del país y la vergüenza miserable en que se encuentra la isla.

Son esclavos sumidos en toda su conciencia a unos dictadores políticos, son idólatras que solo piensan en satisfacer su enfermiza necesidad de idolatrar a otros hombres y a sus ideas y se autoproclaman patriotas sin querer mirar a la verdadera Patria sumida en oprobio. Ningún tiempo de la llamada Revolución de Fidel y Raul Castro ha sido plena ni verdadera, porque no hay plenitud sin libertad, no hay plenitud mientras millones de cubanos viven sin derecho alguno lejos de su patria, no hay libertad cuando es obligatorio comulgar una ideología extranjera, no hay libertad cuando nos ponemos a hacer guerra tierras extranjeras... no hay justificación para esto aún cuando los políticos (que nunca corren el peligro) lo pinten como una gran gloria, no hay libertad cuando se tiene una historia larga de atropellos y humillaciones a los mejores intelectuales patrios, unos obligados a morir en el destierro miserables, otros obligados al silencio teniendo que soportar y aplaudir hipócritamente por ser reconocidos en actos oficiales 20 años después.

El invierno llega pronto, y tenemos que estar preparados para el cambio.

CUBA: UN LABERINTO PARA LA LIBERACIÓN/ O, MIAMI FESTIVAL & OMNIZONAFRANCA EN EL PEREZ ART MUSEUM MIAMI

It was Free Second Saturday this April 12 at PAMM. Guest artist Carol Todaro showed participants
how to make books based on “The Exquisite Corpse”, a word game played by the Surrealists.
The project, created in the spirit of poetry month, involved juxtaposing images and words. Kids
(and parents) worked at long tables with paper, markers, magazine clippings, and glue.
“I was excited to be asked [by PAMM] to do this,” Todaro said. “And I’m happy to work alongside O, Miami!”

An hour-long performance entitled “Looking for the Lost Sun” by Omni-ZonaFranca,
a multi-disciplinary collective of street artists from Cuba, began at 2pm. (Artists from
Sign-Dance Collective, based in London, were also among the performers:
this was a first-time collaboration between the two groups.)

The performance was "a collaborative ritual exploring concepts of family, and inviting a
transformation of self". A labyrinth with a centerpiece of ceremonial-looking yellow carnations
and sunflowers was installed on the floor of PAMM’s magnificent outdoor space, percussion
instruments were gathered, and an Omni-ZonaFranca DJ spun Buddhist-prayer-like chanting.
The performance started with a slow procession of fifteen or so people clad in white, led by a
‘bride’ in a ruffled white garbage-bag dress and holding a votive candle.

The performers invited audience members into the labyrinth, which everyone slowly traversed,
gradually building up a group chant of “Hay un sol en tu corazon” (There is a sun is your heart).
As the chanting reached an apex and dissipated, classical music began to stream from
the speakers, and was soon accompanied by lovely low contralto singing from the bride.

The performance ended, and everyone was invited to write, paint, and draw on long banners
laid out near the DJ booth. A continuously looping video “Dedicated to all those families forced
to live divided” was shown in the museum's auditorium. The video pictured children and families
Omni-ZonaFranca has worked with in Cuba, as well as recurrent images related to distance between
families: telephones, airplanes, children playing, an empty rocking chair, a man’s pensive face.
